Our history
aFinance was founded in 2004 by Enric Vial in a small office within his own home on the outskirts of Barcelona. Since then, aFinance has experienced significant growth, expanding to several locations across the province.
In the face of the challenges posed by the 2008 financial crisis, we demonstrated our adaptability by moving to the prestigious Passeig de Gràcia. Over time, we evolved into a hybrid model, solidly integrating the digital component into our business strategy.
Currently aFinance stands out as a leading financial consultancy at a national level, with a presence in several cities across Spain. Our focus has always been to maintain excellence in our services while supporting the professional growth of our entire team.
2004
Enric Vial founds aFinance on the outskirts of Barcelona, transforming his home into the company's first office to serve our clients.
2005
Lluís Vial joins the team to enhance service excellence and drive the company’s expansion. From there, we opened new strategically located offices in Manresa, Vic, Berga, and Granollers.
2008
The financial crisis significantly impacts revenue and leads to the closure of offices in Berga, Granollers, and Vic.
2010
The Vial brothers decide to consolidate the company into a single location on Passeig de Gràcia in Barcelona.
2013
A strategic shift occurs: we adopt a hybrid model with a strong digital focus, expand the team, and relocate to the iconic Boulevard Rosa building in central Barcelona.
2014
We concentrate our operations primarily on the online channel, allowing us to become one of the top three companies signing the most mortgages digitally.
2015
Grupo aFinance inaugurates new offices at 85 Passeig de Gràcia, one of Barcelona’s most important and renowned avenues for its shops and historical and cultural significance. This space houses all of the Group’s brands, bringing together the diverse aspects of its business activities.
2016
We expand our operations to Madrid, opening offices on the exclusive Calle Serrano, in the heart of the capital.
2017
We continue our expansion by opening offices in Valencia, consolidating our presence in Spain’s three main cities.
2019
From 2019, with the implementation of the Real Estate Credit Contract Law (LCCI), all our employees must demonstrate their knowledge and competencies in mortgage management.
2020
We receive certification from the Bank of Spain as Real Estate Credit Intermediary No.292, a significant milestone for us.
2021
We open new offices in Palma, Mallorca, a strategic point for the Group’s growth and expansion.
2024
We have surpassed 200 employees and have brought on board a Business Coach, reflecting our commitment to the professional development and well-being of our entire team.
