Credits, loans, deferred payments ... The Spanish demand more and more financing for their acquisitions and this trend is not going to ease this year. Fed by the greater ease with which it is granted and by the appetite of the bank to sell a more profitable product than others, the so-called consumer credit will continue to have the wind in stern in 2018, according to the experts consulted.
Data from the Bank of Spain, released at the end of last year, reveal that the volume of new financing granted between September 2016 and September 2017 went up by 20%, to such an extent that, in amounts, consumer credit already equals to the mortgage loan. Thus, consumers surveyed by the financial Cetelem, and who claim to have financed a product in 2017, requested an average of 5,897 euros, representing an increase of 24.7% over the previous year. Exactly as it had happened in 2016, the entity specialized in this type of financing of the BNP Paribas group found that the product for which last year more loans were requested was the car (17.1%). It was followed by electronic devices (16.2%) and mobile devices (15.7%).
